I am DJ Tasha. The one who creates space for others to find themselves through music.

But here’s a little secret.

Nobody created that space for her.

At a very young age, I grew up having to survive with absolutely no safety net. I found ways to cope that were consequential. I figured out early that life was never going to wait for me to be ready and nobody was coming to make it easier.

Then I discovered music. And it gave me life, hope and purpose.

How will you make of your time here on earth?

I wear the Eternity Necklace as a reminder of what survival taught me. That time is the only thing you can’t get back and I’d better decide what I was going to do with it.

I became a DJ. But beyond that, my experiences gave me a calling to become a teacher. My purpose is to ignite the same aliveness into others through music, discovery, expression, skills and most importantly something to really live for and be excited about.

Survival gave me the one thing nobody could take away. The knowledge of exactly what I’m here to do. Let’s make some music.
